Nigerian singer-songwriter Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, was birthed on January 13, 1995. He has distribution deals with YBNL Nation and Empire. The name “Asake” in his stage name is taken from his mother. When Mr. Money with the Vibe, his debut album, was published in September 2022, it set a new record for the greatest debut ever for an African project on Apple Music at the moment. The album became the highest ranking Nigerian debut album in the entire history of the Billboard 200 list when it peaked at position 66. When his follow-up album Work of Art was published in June 2023, it made history by earning his second album to enter the Billboard 200 at position 66.
