A Nigerian performer, rapper, and composer licenced to Neville Records is Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, better known by his stage name Khaid. As a result of getting a record deal with Sydney Talker’s Neville Records in 2022, he became famous when the tune “With You” was released. On February 14, 2022, it reached number 48 on the Nigeria TurnTable Top 50 single chart, marking his first charting entry. From a family of 10, Sulaimon Shekoni Abiola was raised in Shibiri-Ojo. He claims, in an appearance with Pulse Nigeria columnist Onyema Courage, “My Dad advised me to learn a skill since making music wasn’t paying the bills.” After that, Sulaimon repaired cars on the side of the road in Ojo in order to pay his bills and provide for his family.
