Nigerian musician and songwriter Stanley Omah Didia (born May 19, 1997) is better known by his stage name Omah Lay. He became well-known in the first few months of 2020 after his independently produced song “Bad Influence” became a social media sensation. Port Harcourt, in Nigeria, is where Stanley Omah Didia grew up. He is a native of the Rivers State local government area of Egbeda, Emohua, and was born on May 19, 1997. He graduated from Comprehensive High School in Rivers State before enrolling at the University of Port Harcourt. His grandfather was a musician, and before Celestine Ukwu’s 1977 passing, he provided musical accompaniment for the vocalist. The drumming was done by Omah Lay’s dad. “Lil King” was Omah Lay’s stage moniker when he first joined a rap group.
