Ayra Starr – Rush

Mavin Records first lady, Ayra Starr has finally lights up our mood with this entertaining studio record which she dubbed as “Rush.”

When Don Jazzy introduced the young songstress last year, we were all optimistic on how her career will end up. We weren’t too sure if she was an ideal signing for the brand and now, she has proved her doubters wrong. Ayra Starr is a rare gem in the music industry and her new entry, “Rush” is different from the rest.

She has bagged lots and lots of endorsement deal in the past with a growing fan base that speaks highly of her on social media. Ayra Starr came to limelight after she held the nation on lockdown with her “Bloody Samaritan” single. She also introduced herself to the music world via her self-titled extended play project “Ayra Starr.” Rated positively as one of the future prospect in the Afrobeat scene, Ayra Starr also provided us with her debut studio album tagged, “19 & Dangerous” with hit songs like “Beggie Beggie” featuring Ckay and “Fashion Killer.”

Apparently, combining her personal lifestyle with music has been a rough road for the singer. Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe hasn’t given up as she served this sound “Rush” which is a kick-starter for her musical journey in 2022. With a teaser clip on social media, fans are already grooving to it. Lastly, the song swiftly talks about how she doesn’t care about trolls and how she wants to be focused on making the money.

“Rush” has some catchy lyrics like:

Sabi girl no dey too like talk
Animals dey in human form
Padi man nobody like work
But you must hustle if you wan chop
E no finish dem wan fight us
If dem dey run dem no fit catch up
I no dey form say I too righteous
No come dey form say you too like us

Me no get the time for the hate and the bad energy
Gat my mind on my money
Make you dance like Poco Lee
Steady green like broccoli
Steady on my grind no wan hear what they want telly me
Kudi na my fantasy
Dem won dey check if my tap e no rush

But e deu rush
E dey rush well well

Na God dey make my tap e dey rush
The kind money we touch
Yeahhh

There’s no dulling with us
