Nigerian multi-lingual songstress and wonderful performer, Yemi Alade has come out with a brand new studio record aptly called, “Pounds & Dollars.”
Basically, there is a lot to say about the vibe that is vocally reminiscent of 042 street vocalist and indigenous rap prodigy, Phyno. Yemi Alade quickly explains on the song “Pounds & Dollars” how they are all about the money and how they want to light up the neighborhoods with various currencies. The music was beautifully executed by Phyno and Yemi Alade.
The studio song “Pounds & Dollars” was also taken from her recently finished album, “African Baddie,” which has 10 incredible tunes and features guests from all around Africa, including Phyno, Bisa Kdei, Zlatan, Bramsito, Lemar, and Joé Dwèt File. Even though we are not yet ready for that topic, Yemi Alade is here with a lovely piece and its not even debateable.
Furthermore, this is a wonderful fit for the body of work; Phyno and Yemi Alade carried out their tasks without difficulty and contributed with their strong presence to the outstanding studio record.
