Wizkid loses to Angélique Kidjo in Best World Music Album Category

With mix feelings following last night Grammy Award show, Wizkid lost to Angélique Kidjo in the category of Best World Music Album.

On Sunday, April 3, 2022, the Grammy Awards hosted its 64th event in Las Vegas.  Brandi Carlile, H.E.R., and many others gave outstanding renditions in the show. Nigerian music legend Femi Kuti and Made Kuti’s “Legacy” were also nominated in the Best World Music Album category.

The Grammy Awards this year drew a lot of emotion and excitement from music fans all over the world. Wizkid, an award-winning Nigerian act, was beaten in the Best World Music Album section by Angélique Kidjo. Wizkid’s massive studio album tagged “Made in Lagos” was beaten by Angélique Kidjo’s “Mother Nature” album. Moreover, Wizkid suffered a big setback after missing the Best Global Music Performance award to Arooj Aftab on the jam “Mohabbat.”

Furthermore, Wizkid is set to perform in France’s Accor Arena sometime this year.
