And now comes our monthly chart as we list out the top 10 Nigeria songs in February 2020. Nigeria is very popular in Afrobeats and one of the music power house in Africa. Every month, we criticize and give credit to quality songs and music videos released by top Nigerian celebrities in the music scene. This countdown shows how Nigeria has improved on the Afropop genre of music and are going international; Burna Boy is a nominee in the just concluded 62nd edition of 2020 Grammy awards, taking Nigeria to the music map. Over the years, Nigerian artiste so far has diversified the music industry creating room for reggae afropop, hip hop afropop and so many catchy categories. This countdown was brought out by our team as we voted the top Nigeria music in the month of February, 2020.
10. Zoro- Kulture
“Kulture” by Zoro makes our number 10 spot for the top 10 Nigeria music in February 2020. Zoro Swagbag released this single on 2nd February, 2020 which was his first single for the new decade. In this song, Zoro shows and describes his Igbo traditions and heritage as he talks about spending money and don’t make noise. Zoro’s debut single is a full parcel with unique sound creation from four big talented beat makers in the Nigeria’s music industry; KezyKlef, Tspize, Skelly and Major Bangz. The official music video has been released and it was directed by TG Omori.

9. Peruzzi- Gunshot
After controversial moment with his former label boss, King Partick of Golden Boy Entertainment over contractual disagreement of the both parties also involving his current boss, Davido and his fiancee, Chioma Rowland, Peruzzi dropped all that behind and came out with a sensational track tagged “Gunshot”. This single comes as a follow-up after successfully dropping his debut studio album under the DMW imprint. “Gunshot” has a joint production credit from Vstix and DalorBeats. It was mixed and mastered by SWAPS. This song describes how Monalisa the girlfriend is giving him attitudes and how he tried to manage the situations and all. The official music video is not released yet and the audio was dropped on 6th February, 2020.

8. IVD Ft Davido and Peruzzi- 2 Seconds
“2 Seconds” makes our number 8 spot on the countdown. IVD Records front-runner and CEO, Darry Ogbonna Professionally known as IVD unveiled his much anticipated song dubbed “2 Seconds” on the 6th February, 2020. This ballad record tagged “2 Seconds” features Nigerian award-winning superstar and DMW boss, Davido and one of DMW’s employees, Peruzzi. This record comes after a successful and massive hit tagged “Bolanle” that surpassed over 5.6 million views on Youtube where he features Zanku master, Zlatan. The music is produced by talented beatsmith, Speroach Beatz. The official music video has been released where it was directed by Dami.

7. B-Red Ft Davido x Peruzzi- Dollar
B-Red teams up with his cousin Davido and DMW artiste, Peruzzi as they unlocks this mouth watering single tagged “Dollar” which was released on the 21st of February, 2020. “Dollar” makes our number 7 spot despite all critics, the single will actually be the most sort out for this year. HKN and a subsidiary of DMW, B-Red unveils a brand new track dubbed “Dollar” collaborating with Davido and Peruzzi. The Magic Boi touched instrumental dishes as B-Red’s first single in 2020 and his official full signing into DMW and 30BG. The performers showcased their wealthy sides on this jam. They entered the stage to get the woman of their dream with their dollar currency. The music visual has been dropped which was directed by Stanz Visual.

6. Teni- Marry
Teni’s song “Marry” makes our number 6 place on the countdown. “Marry” was released on the 20th of February, 2020. After several hit jams in 2019, Dr Dolor Entertainment front-runner, Teni premieres her newest record dubbed “Marry”, produced by Dr Dolor Entertainment in-house talented sound engineer and beatsmith, JaySynths Beatz. This track was unveiled after her post on instagram about a follower asking her when she will be tying the knot, and “Marry” record was all about the marriage issue which she claims that her mama ask her when she will settle down with her man, in which she said, This year, Next Year or Never. Mixing and mastering credit of “Marry” single goes to racing sound engineer, Milla Mix. This is Teni‘s debut song of the year, 2020.

5. Skiibii Ft Kizz Daniel- Somebody

Marlians will be excited to see their music artiste and the president of Marlian fan base, Naira Marley making our top 4 spot on the countdown with their amazing record titled “Koma Jensun”. “Koma Jensun” was released on the 7th February, 2020. The Rexxie-produced single titled “Koma Jensun” collaborating with Marlians president, Naira Marley who never disappoints with his amazing vibes. Former Mo’Hit star, Wande Coal still gave us his trademark vibe as he drops this single titled “Again” which makes the number 3 spot on our countdown. This single was released on the 6th February, 2020 but we don’t have an official video to the art yet. Wande Coal’s brand new track “Again” was presented on Apple Music Beat 1 with Ebro Darden. Wande Coal brought out a sensational mid-tempo tracks this period which is mild to the listeners ear. This track will surely make wave in the music industry. “Again” is produced and engineered by talented music producer, Melvitto.

2. Harrysong Ft Davido- Bum Bum Bum
We have always known Harrysong with his unique style ranging from “Reggae Blues” vibe to “Under The Duvet”. Harrysong features DMW boss, Davido on this one titled “Bum Bum Bum” and it makes the second spot on our countdown. The single was released on the 6th of February, 2020 and so far it is outlouding most of the speakers in the street. Alterplate Music main man, Harrysong starts his 2020 musical career with this sensational song tagged “Bum Bum Bum”. To present a finished product, Harrysong hired the services of one of the best artiste in Nigeria, Davido who taught him how to do the Raggae in a better fashion. The sound is produced and engineered by talented sound engineer, Peter TwinBeatz. The official music video is yet to be released as at this day but might be dropped soon.
