Lionel Andres Messi Cuccitini Wins his Record Sixth Ballon d’or
The Former Newell’s Old Boys forward, Lionel Messi has Clinched his record sixth Ballon d’or trophy beating his football Closest rival Cristiano Ronaldo and Netherland’s Virgil van Dijk to the Most Worshipped Best Award in Europe.
The ceremony was held at Paris with the absence of Ronaldo. The Argentina Forward Lionel Messi attended the award ceremony with his partner, Antonella Roccuzzo and his three Children.
Megan Anna Rapinoe who plays for the U.S Women National Team won the award in the female category. Megan Anna Rapinoe captained the U.S Women National Team at the Women’s World Cup this Year in France with the team emerging victorious in the tournament. She won the award on monday night beating England’s Lucia Roberta Tough Bronze and U.S’s Alexandra Morgan Carrasco. Meanwhile, Goalie Alisson Becker won the Inaugral Yashin Trophy which is given to the best men’s goalie in Europe.
