Bill Gates steps down from Microsoft board
Bill Gates, the second richest man in the world according to Forbes list with a net worth of $106.7 billion, has reportedly resigned from his executive position at Microsoft.
The ex-World richest man; with Jeff Bezos taking the top spot currently, said he would like to centre on philanthropy, global health, development, education and combating global warming and climate change.
Bill Gates who joint-founded Microsoft in 1975 with Paul Allen, who passed away back in 2018, has now developed the company over the past 30 years to one of the richest companies we know globally.
Bill Gates also disclosed he had withdrawn from the board of Warren Buffett’s company, Berkshire Hathaway. The former richest man in the world was also the boss of Microsoft until 2000 when Steve Ballmer took over the position as the CEO and has been in charge of a not to serious position since 2008.
