President of Iraq denounces Iran’s missile launch on U.S. Military Bases in Iraq
The President of Iraq, Barham Salih has denounced the retaliation Iran claimed to have made in launching dozens of missiles on U.S. Military Bases which was occupied by the United States Military and other foreign troops in Iraq.
A statement was released today on Wednesday, 8th of January, 2020 which reads:
“We denounce the Iranian missile bombing that hit military installations on Iraqi territory and renew our rejection of the repeated violation of state sovereignty and the transformation of Iraq into a battlefield for warring sides.”
In the Statement released, President Barham Salih expresses “fear” as the crisis between the both countries develops and also turning the Iraq’s soil into a battle ground.
According to reports, there was no recorded American Casualty after reported 15 missiles were fired at the targeted U.S. Military Bases.
